SPOTLIGHT ON: The Montgomery Group Series

As established consultants to the UK Hotel industry, we’ve been avid attendees of the Independent Hotel Show for years. However, due to the Covid-19 restrictions in place this year, the show had to sadly be cancelled. But in it’s place, we’ve had their Montgomery Group Series to satisfy our desire for the insider scoop on the UK Hospitality industry. We are absolutely loving this webinar series, so of course, we had to put a spotlight on it.

The series is curated and managed by Madi Whitcombe, organiser of the Independent Hotel Show. It’s free and super easy to register and listen in to. It features experts who explore the hottest of topics right now, such as the effects of the UK’s ‘‘staycation nation’’, what the post-corona consumer looks like and even design solutions for a post-pandemic world.

We particularly enjoyed the talk from David McDowall, Brewdog COO, on how to use your business as a force for good.

Montgomery Group is a global event organiser, with a major focus upon the food, drink & hospitality markets, and their insights arm is called Montgomery Group Labs. Their most recent release is an insight report called “The New Normal: UK Hotels Survey Results”. It’s a fantastic deep dive into an ever changing topic which gives some shape to what the rest of 2020 and 2021 might look like for the UK hotel industry. We highly recommend downloading it!
