LONDON LOVES: The Powder Room @ Annabels
London is known for its fair share of Instagrammable loos. One of our favourites is inside Annabel’s - an ultra luxe private members club in Berkley Square. Greenway Associates were involved with its £55 million makeover in 2018, and as Squaremeal rightly states, Annabel’s 'powder rooms' are, “in a word, extra”.
The powder rooms are filled with florals, various shades of pink, gold embossed taps shaped like swans and pearlescent sinks in the shape of madeleine shells.
We would expect nothing less from Swedish interiors architect, Martin Brudnizki, whom we also worked with on The Coral Room at Sexy Fish.
How about you? Do you think that restrooms in hotels and restaurants should just be clean functional spaces, or, do you appreciate the exceptional and noteworthy? Has your opinion changed post-pandemic? We’d love to know your opinion!
